An event dedicated to the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between the Cricket Federation of Uzbekistan and the university was held today, February 13, at the Uzbek State University of Physical Culture and Sports (USUPCS).
The event was attended by Chairman of the Cricket Federation of Uzbekistan Aziz Mihliyev, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation Kamil Bayazitov, Head of the Department of Theory and Methods of Handball, Tennis, Badminton Shukhrat Tulaganov and professors and students.
The main purpose of signing this memorandum is to exchange knowledge and experience in education, science, spirituality, and enlightenment, to further develop and popularize the sport of cricket among young people, to attract university students to the sport of cricket, and to promote cricket among them. In this regard, it was agreed to organize short training courses and the publication of scientific pamphlets in the framework of cooperation between the Federation and the University.
In turn, the chairman of the Cricket Federation of Uzbekistan Aziz Mihliyev spoke about the sport of cricket, which is a new sport for Uzbekistan, and the activities of the Cricket Federation.
At the event, questions from the media were answered by relevant experts.
This was followed by a presentation of cricket to university students.
At the end of the event, the active participants were awarded certificates of honor, the rector of the university and others.
